If you want to really feel the spirit of Brașov, you will for certain achieve it by staying in our 16th century historic building, whose architecture has not been changed for over 400 years. This is where Prince Michael the Brave, the voievod of Wallachia (the southern part of today's Romania) spent a few nights, when he visited the then-Mayor and head judge of Brașov, Valentin Hirscher, in 1600. The property also features a garden enclosed by the medieval walls of the city.

The space

The apartment has a separate entrance and staircase, which makes it unique and provides a lot of privacy. All windows are south-facing, so the flat benefits from natural light all day long and also direct sunlight between 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Due to its thick medieval walls, the flat is very cool in summer and warm in winter.

Coming out of the building, if you cross the street and walk 50 meters to the right, you are in front of the Black Church and if you walk 50 meters to the left, you are in the Brașov's Main Square (Piața Sfatului). The pedestrian area with the main pedestrian street featuring the best restaurants and bars (Republicii Street) starts here.

Guest access

The flat has a generous private staircase made of natural wood hundreds of years old, which leads to an entrance hallway tastefully decorated in keeping with the history of the building. There is a bedroom, with a double bed, TV and wardrobe and a living room with an expandable sofa bed and a second TV set where two more please can sleep.

In the living room, there is also a working space (desk and ergonomic desk chair) for those who travel for work or simply want to check their emails without getting backache.

A fully furnished kitchen (microwave, cooking hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher) provides you with the space to cook your own breakfast, thus allowing for a relaxed start to the day.

For the comfort of our guests, the toilet room is separate from the shower room. The shower room is very modern and a steaming hot shower is available whatever the season.

Depending on your arrival time, you can opt for a self-check-in (we’ll leave the key in a safe box for you and provide you with the code on the day of arrival) or if you prefer, we are happy to be there to welcome you.

When you come to Brașov, do not just visit the local attractions. Live in one!

Michael the Brave was the Prince of Wallachia, Prince of Moldavia and de facto ruler of Transylvania. He is considered one of Romania's greatest national heroes, and he is seen by Romanian historiography as the first author of Romanian unity.
